Spiel Essen 2019 – Barpig

Our friends at Barpig brought the expansion for their Adventure Party Game: Barpig called After Hours to their medieval tavern ready to once again, block the hallways of Spiel. A visit at their booth is essential and together with some known friends and a new made Spiel-friend we played a round of Barpig: After Hours in its full glory!

This standalone expansion After Hours brings a whole new but somewhat darker gaming experience to Barpig and it was good to play the finished product. They really improved on a lot of aspect and not only in-game. The boxes became more though and the add-ons are truly something. A tin lunchbox to store your games, I am in!

As promised they deliver on time and Kickstarter backers could pick up their pledge at the Barpig booth at Spiel.

What I would like to add in final is that the marketing for such a small self-published game is already awesome. You can feel the energy in the campaigns they run and the game itself is, as some of you already know, a great party game which will for sure bring ludicrous amounts of laughter in to your life.

But, there is always a but, there is more: for the full Barpig experience, you have to enjoy the pleasure of playing a game with one of the Barpiggy’s in their Medieval Tavern they build up at every fair they go to! Next stop for them will be Spellenspektakel in Utrecht (The Netherlands).
